Welcome To Family Practice
MEN B VACCINATION PROGRAMME
Family Practice will be running a Men B Vaccination clinic on
Wednesday 12 August 2026.
The eligible cohorts include:
- All of the current school year 14 age group (i.e. those currently aged 17-18 with a date of birth between 2 July 2007 to 1 July 2008); and
- Anyone, up to 25 years of age, who will be attending Higher Education or a Residential Further Education Institution for the first time in Autumn 2026 (including international students).
The announcement comes after multiple cases of invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) identified in South East England earlier this year. The Men-B vaccination offers protection against serious illness, such as IMD, meningitis and sepsis.
Everyone with a date of birth between 2 July 2007 to 1 July 2008 will be invited for vaccination.
Anyone aged up to 25 years of age attending Higher Education or a Residential Further Education Institution for the first time in Autumn 2026, will be encouraged to contact practice and make an appointment for Men B vaccination.

Accessing General Medical Services
If you wish to make an appointment with the surgery please contact us by telephone.
Receptionists will ask for some information in order to direct you to the most appropriate professional.
When you request an appointment with the GP, our receptionists will ask you for a brief reason as to why you need an appointment. This is so that they can direct you to the appropriate person within our team which includes GPs, Practice Nurses, Physiotherapist, Social worker or Mental Health Practitioner. Or they may give you information about services or self-care options that you could access for your symptoms eg. the Minor Ailments service at the local pharmacy.
In the case of an emergency during out of hours -
028 71 865195
Please order your repeat prescription 7 days in advance of when it is required.
This is to allow the GP practice and Community Pharmacy time to process your prescription, to ensure you do not run out of your medicines when the GP practice or community pharmacy is closed.
Please do not order an increased supply of medicines if you do not need them. Only order a prescription for the medicines you actually require.
Acute Scripts ordered before 11 am will be ready at Reception Desk or Chemist after 2 pm on the same day.
Acute Scripts ordered after 11 am will be ready at Reception Desk or Chemist the following day after 2 pm with the exception of Emergency Prescriptions.
