REGIONAL EMERGENCY SOCIAL WORK SERVICE

THE SERVICE IS AVAILABLE OUTSIDE NORMAL OFFICE HOURS INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Appointments

All routine visits to see a doctor or the practice nurse are by appointment only. Routine appointments can be booked by telephone, in person or online via the link at the top of this page. Please note, before you are able to use the online service you must first have access to your personal registration information. Come to the surgery in person with photo ID and ask the receptionist for details of how to register for Patient Access and receive your registration details.

The appointment system operates both for your convenience and to make the most efficient use of the doctor/nurses time. Our appointment system remains constantly under review.

Urgent Appointments

All requests for urgent appointments (e.g. to be seen during the same morning/afternoon when you call) should be made by telephone whenever possible so the doctor can access your level of need in advance and respond accordingly. If an urgent appointment is given we cannot guarantee you get to see your preferred GP.

Treatment Room

The treatment room exists to provide nursing care in the Health Centre.

Its opening hours are:

09:00 – 17:00 (Monday – Friday)

Telephone

Please provide reception staff with brief details of your symptoms or reason for calling - in some cases the doctor/nurse will call the patient back or leave a message with the receptionist.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Patients who fail to attend for appointments, arrive too late to be seen (more than 10 mins) or don’t cancel in good time will receive a warning letter. Three letters in any 6 months and GP’s will consider removal from the Practice.
